In July 2025, during an inspection by prosecutors of the medical unit No. 3 of the State Institution "Center for Health Care of the Criminal Executive Service of Ukraine," facts of inadequate medical care for one of the inmates were discovered.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kryvyi Rih Northern District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in a criminal proceeding regarding the improper performance of professional duties by medical staff (part 1 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Currently, a number of urgent investigative actions have been carried out, and an examination has been appointed, the results of which will lead to a procedural decision.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
