At the initiative of the prosecutor's office, the court seized the property of the state bank, which sold the property 3-4 times cheaper than it is worth

Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a seizure has been imposed on real estate that was sold at a significantly undervalued price within the framework of a criminal proceeding regarding abuses in one of the state banks. This has been done to preserve physical evidence and prevent the alienation of this property.
It has been established that in November 2024, the state bank acquired two production buildings worth 6 million UAH under a mortgage agreement.
Subsequently, bank officials organized the sale of this real estate through an electronic auction. The starting price of the lot was set at the level of the book value — 6 million UAH, although it did not correspond to the actual market price. Additionally, part of the area of the buildings was not taken into account in the description of the object, which led to an undervaluation of the property and reduced competition during the bidding.
According to the results of the appraisal and construction expertise, the market value of these objects as of the end of 2024 exceeded 41 million UAH. At the same time, the property was sold for approximately 13 million UAH to the auction winner - a company associated with other participants in the bidding.
As a result of these actions, the state bank has reportedly incurred losses amounting to about 28 million UAH - this is the difference between the actual market value of the property and the price at which it was sold.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. It is being conducted by detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.
