The head of the Nemyriv District Prosecutor's Office, Dmytro Danilov, as the senior member of the juvenile prosecutors' group, reported the suspicion against a resident of the Vinnytsia region who repeatedly raped a 10-year-old child.

The man's actions were qualified under parts 4 and 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the rape of a person under the age of fourteen, committed repeatedly.

The 45-year-old suspect, taking advantage of the vulnerable state of the minor and the child's trust in him, committed illegal acts against the child.

The court fully supported the request of the head of the district prosecutor's office, who asked the court to apply the strictest preventive measure to the suspect due to the nature of the crime – detention without the possibility of bail.

By the ruling of the investigating judge, such a preventive measure was applied to the suspect. The ruling can be appealed in the appellate procedure.

For such a crime, punishment is provided from ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.

We remind you that, by the instruction of the Attorney General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, crimes in which children are victims are under special control of the prosecutor's offices.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
