Tiktoker will spend 5 years behind bars for sharing videos with the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social networks

Prosecutors of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office supported the public prosecution in court in the case of the publication of prohibited data on social networks.
Thus, a 37-year-old resident of the region was found guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and illegal possession of ammunition (Part 2 of Article 114-2, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The man was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.
Prosecutors proved that in November 2023, while in Odesa, a TikToker intentionally filmed and posted on the social network "TikTok" moments of the combat operations of Ukrainian soldiers during the repulsion of a massive attack by missiles and strike drones of the Russian army.
The video allowed for the identification of the location of the firing positions of Ukrainian units. The man effectively disclosed information that was prohibited from being made public during martial law and jeopardized the safety of military personnel and residents of the city.
In addition, during a sanctioned search of the residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized illegally acquired ammunition of various calibers.
During the court hearing, the man did not admit guilt.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
