Following the lawsuit by the prosecutors of Cherkasy region, the court ruled to terminate the contract and to recover 10 million UAH in penalties from the contractor for improper fulfillment of obligations.

The prosecutors established that in 2023, the Department of Education and Humanitarian Policy of the Cherkasy City Council entered into a contract with a contracting organization for the capital repair and insulation of one of the educational institutions in the city of Cherkasy for an amount exceeding 38 million UAH.

Instead of the planned volume, the contractor actually completed work worth only about 5 million UAH, while work worth more than 33 million UAH remained uncompleted. As a result, the community suffered damage, and the conditions for children's education were put at risk.

The funds will be returned to the community budget.
