A resident of Khmelnytskyi was charged with videotaping the work of combat aircraft for the Russian Federation

In October of this year, a resident of Khmelnytskyi agreed to cooperate with a representative of the aggressor country via "Telegram."

Carrying out the enemy's tasks, the suspect placed a phone near a military airfield, filming the airspace to identify combat aircraft and their armaments. He installed a remote control application on the device, granting access to representatives of the aggressor country.

Also, at the end of October, the man sent photographs of an electrical substation to his curators. He received money in a cryptocurrency wallet.

Law enforcement detained the suspect after another attempt to set up a phone for monitoring military aviation in early November.

Under the procedural guidance of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, he was informed of the suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail was chosen.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators under the operational support of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
