Died and injured as a result of a missile strike at an educational institution in Odesa region - an investigation has been started

Under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, an investigation has been initiated into the commission of a war crime that resulted in loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on June 23 at approximately 14:35, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched missile strikes on the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odesa region. Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used ballistic missiles. A local educational institution was hit.

As a result of the enemy attack, two people were killed, and 12 individuals sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. Among the injured are two minors. Information regarding other possible victims is being clarified.

The examination is ongoing, and prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the enemy attack at the scene. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
