Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the State Bureau of Investigations has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the fatal traffic accident that occurred on the evening of July 24, 2025, on the N-09 highway "Mukachevo – Lviv" near the village of Babukhiv in the Rohatyn territorial community of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

As a result of the traffic accident, a member of parliament sustained serious bodily injuries and subsequently died in the ambulance.

Information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of the victim).

Currently, priority investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the tragic event.
