They "made money" on child pornography: two administrators of an underground network of websites were notified of suspicion

Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General have notified two individuals of suspicion for administering an extensive network of web resources with prohibited content (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 1, Part 3 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects created and maintained an infrastructure of about a thousand web pages that hosted content containing images of child exploitation. The main organizer, a resident of Lviv, managed the servers, renting equipment for the operation of the entire network for profit.
During the analysis of data seized from the first suspect's equipment, investigators identified his accomplice, who lived in the Kyiv region.
During authorized searches at the suspects' residences and in their vehicles, law enforcement seized computer equipment with traces of illegal activity, information carriers, cryptocurrency wallets, handwritten notes, cash, and vehicles.
Approximately a thousand online resources used for distributing prohibited content have been neutralized.
For the committed acts, a punishment of up to 12 years of imprisonment is provided.
One of the suspects has been placed in custody as a preventive measure. The other has been placed on an international wanted list. Efforts are ongoing to identify other individuals involved.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the National Police with operational support from the Cyber Police. The proceedings have been initiated in cooperation with the British National Crime Agency (NCA).
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
