Under the public prosecution of prosecutors of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a former employee of the Luhansk Directorate of the Donetsk Railway guilty of collaborative activities (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

After the occupation of Luhansk region, the man voluntarily went over to the side of the aggressor state and headed the illegally created Luhansk Railways enterprise. Subsequently, he took the position of the so-called "Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the LPR", and in 2023 he became its acting minister.

Being in senior positions, he ensured the functioning of the transport industry in the interests of the occupation administration and contributed to its integration into the transport system of the Russian Federation.

The convict organized the work of subordinate enterprises, coordinated the activities of transport infrastructure and ensured the implementation of decisions of the occupation authorities.

In fact, he joined the restructuring of the transport system of the Luhansk region according to the rules of the aggressor state, contributing to the expansion of the occupation administration to a strategically important area of the region.

The convict is hiding in the TOT of Luhansk region and is wanted. The term of serving the sentence will be calculated from the day of his actual detention.

The special pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Recall that recently , under the procedural guidance of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the 46-year-old governor of the Ryazan region of the Russian Federation, who systematically supports Russian troops and finances their participation in the war against Ukraine, was notified of suspicion in absentia.
