Members of the OZH who sold drugs in Chernihiv region were convicted

Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of Chernihiv region, the court found four members of an organized criminal group guilty under Part 2, 3 of Article 307, Part 1 of Article 317, and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — for the illegal acquisition, storage for the purpose of sale, and sale of psychotropic substances, organization and maintenance of a place for the illegal use of psychotropics, and providing premises for this purpose, as well as illegal handling of combat ammunition.
By the court's verdict, the organizer of the criminal group was sentenced to 11 years and 6 months of imprisonment, while three accomplices received 10 years of imprisonment each. All four had their property confiscated.
The prosecutor proved that the man, together with his accomplices, organized and established a scheme for the illegal sale of particularly dangerous psychotropic substances in the territory of the Koryukivka district of Chernihiv region. The accused purchased PVP and amphetamine, packaged the drugs in small portions, and, disguised as packages from cigarettes, matches, and snacks, distributed them through "drops," informing buyers of the coordinates via “Telegram” or delivering them personally.
Additionally, the organizer rented premises of a tire fitting service from July 2023 to February 2024, where drug addicts could use prohibited substances.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in Chernihiv region with operational support from the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police in Chernihiv region.
