Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, an 18-year-old member of a criminal group has been notified of suspicion. He is accused of illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, mailing, and sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs on the territory of Odesa (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Law enforcement officers identified one of the participants in the criminal group that supplied narcotics and psychotropics to the residents of Odesa. He turned out to be a resident of the regional center who delivered drugs to "clients" using the services of one of the popular logistics companies, as well as by placing so-called "drops".

During an urgent search at the suspect's residence, 21 kg of the psychotropic substance Alpha-PVP and 100 g of the narcotic substance cannabis, packaged for further sale, mobile phones, SIM cards, and "rough" notes were discovered and seized.

The estimated value of this batch of seized drugs on the "black" market is about 20 million hryvnias.

At the request of the prosecutors, a preventive measure in the form of detention without setting bail has been chosen for the suspect.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in cooperation with employees of the Department of Combating Drug-Related Crimes of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region. Operational support was provided by the Drug Control Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
