Tax revenues of over 4.1 million UAH have been returned to the budget thanks to the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office in a criminal proceeding regarding the intentional evasion of tax payments in significant amounts (Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that the director of one of the companies in Lviv region, which specializes in meat production, organized a scheme to evade income tax. During 2021-2023, the actual volumes of income were not reflected in the tax reporting, which led to the non-receipt of over 4.1 million UAH in taxes to the state budget.

During the pre-trial investigation, the damages were fully compensated. 

In this regard, the prosecutors filed a motion with the court to release the individual from criminal liability in accordance with the current legislation.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the territorial department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region. 

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
