Prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, together with the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation in the Vinnytsia region, ensured the reimbursement by a businessman engaged in wholesale trade of timber, building materials, and sanitary-technical equipment for the damages caused to the state budget.

The pre-trial investigation established that from September 2022 to December 2024, the businessman unlawfully included the cost of purchased goods, which were not sold and not used in business activities, in the composition of expenses.

In addition, it was proven that significant volumes of products were sold for cash without being reflected in the accounting records.

As a result of such illegal actions, the amount of unpaid taxes reached 7.1 million UAH.

During the investigation, the businessman admitted his guilt and paid the debt to the state in full.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings regarding the intentional evasion of tax payments in large amounts (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been completed. It was conducted by the Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in the Vinnytsia region.
