A pre -trial investigation into Khmelnytsky's lawyer was completed, who created a illegal scheme for men crossing men across the border

Under the procedural guidance of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court against a lawyer for organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine for selfish motives (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In March of this year, the accused offered his "services" to a conscript from Khmelnytskyi.

For 12,000 US dollars, he promised to accompany him to the border with the Republic of Romania and assist in crossing it outside of the checkpoints.

That same month, law enforcement officers detained the man in his office after he received the specified amount.

He faces up to 8 years in prison.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnytskyi region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the region and the Strategic Investigations Department in the Khmelnytskyi region of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
