Prosecutors of the Kryvyi Rih Eastern District Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court against the head of a multidisciplinary hospital in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions for the fact of misappropriating someone else's property through abuse of office on a particularly large scale and official forgery.

Since August 2019, the accused has been entering false information into the attendance records regarding the number of her own working hours and the hospital staff. As a result, the woman and 7 other doctors of the medical institution received salaries for time not actually worked. Thus, she caused damage to the state in the amount of 1.6 million UAH.

The actions of the accused have been qualified under Part 5 of Article 191 and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
