Sale of methamphetamine and methadone in Dnipro: the case regarding the drug gang has been sent to court

Under the procedural guidance of the Left Bank District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Dnipro, an indictment has been sent to court against six members of an organized group who were engaged in the sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the city.

They are charged with the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in especially large quantities (parts 2, 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused distributed methamphetamine and methadone in the city of Dnipro via “Telegram” — through "stash" methods, as well as during direct hand-to-hand transfers of drugs. Payments for the prohibited substances were made both in cash and through money transfers to bank cards.

Within the criminal group, some members were responsible for packaging the "products," while others handled their sale. The group operated during 2024-2025.

According to preliminary estimates, the monthly profit from the illegal activities of the group amounted to about 7 million UAH.

The criminal activity was uncovered in May 2025. During the pre-trial investigation, a number of authorized searches were conducted, during which narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, vehicles, mobile phones, computer equipment, and cash were seized. All seized property has been arrested.

Currently, the accused are in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Dnipro District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with operational support from the staff of the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the National Police in the region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
