Under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a former village head of one of the village councils in the Vinnytsia region has been notified of suspicion for developing a plan for the illegal acquisition of village council lands.

According to the investigation, the suspect, from November 2015 to December 2020, created knowingly false official documents regarding the granting of permission for the development of land management projects for the allocation of land plots and their transfer into ownership. In this way, he facilitated the illegal acquisition by individuals of 38 agricultural land plots with a total area of over 29 hectares. Their value, according to the conclusions of land appraisal examinations, amounts to over 8 million UAH.

The former village head has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 364, Part 1 of Article 366, Part 4 of Article 358, and Part 1 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Vinnytsia region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
