Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Uman District Prosecutor's Office, a resident of one of the villages in the Uman district has been notified of suspicion of the rape of a minor (part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

According to the investigation, the suspect, taking advantage of friendly relations with the neighbors, lured their 13-year-old daughter into an uninhabited premises on the evening of September 14, 2025, where he committed sexual acts.

The mother of the victimized girl discovered these actions and reported them to law enforcement.

The man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and at the request of the prosecutor, a preventive measure in the form of detention without the possibility of bail was chosen.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Uman District Police Department, with procedural guidance provided by the head of the district prosecutor's office.

If the man's guilt is proven, he faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
