Under the procedural supervision of the Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Field of Defense of the Eastern region, a serviceman of one of the military units of the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was notified of suspicion.

According to the investigation, the mobilized soldier established contact with a representative of the military intelligence of the Russian Federation at the stage of general military training. The curator provided instructions for gathering information on the location of personnel and the coordinates of military infrastructure facilities.

The obtained data — in particular, regarding four military facilities on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region — were transferred to an employee of the Russian Federation's Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff.

It was also established that the suspect called on the occupiers to destroy the territorial center of recruitment and social support in the city of Kharkiv, where he was drafted.

During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of cooperation with the enemy was seized from the serviceman, in particular, the coordinates of Ukrainian units, sent in the form of labels on Google Maps with a detailed description of the targets.

The individual began his “cooperation” with pro-Russian public comments on social networks. It was after these comments that he came into the field of vision of enemy intelligence.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the law enforcement unit, it was possible to prevent the leakage of sensitive information to the enemy and to take timely measures to protect objects of defensive importance in the risk zone.

He was notified of suspicion under part 3 of Art. 114-2 and part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or placement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law and treason.

Currently, at the request of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody without determining an alternative preventive measure.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region with the operational support of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine.
