The prosecutor's office exposed residents of different regions of Ukraine who spread Russian narratives through social networks and "drained" the locations of the shopping center

Prosecutors, together with investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine, documented facts of anti-Ukrainian activities and public support for the aggressor state by a group of individuals in various regions of the country.

In the Transcarpathian region, three pro-Russian agitators were exposed. They spread Kremlin narratives through social media: glorifying the occupiers, supporting the annexation of Crimea, and publicly calling for the inclusion of Transcarpathia into the Russian Federation.

In the Ternopil region, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the city of Kremenets was detained for leaving his place of service without permission and publicly denying Russian armed aggression. He was drafted into the army in April 2022 and was undergoing training at a military center in another region. Later, he left the field camp without permission and went into hiding.

While in the city, the soldier repeatedly expressed his anti-Ukrainian views, including in conversations with law enforcement officers, promoted destructive narratives about alleged "corporate wars" and "agreements," and accused other countries of instigating the war.

In the Poltava region, two administrators of a community were exposed, where information about the whereabouts of employees of the Lubny District Military Commissariat and law enforcement officers was disseminated. The admins recorded the locations of mobilization activities on their phones and published the data in a messenger, also granting access to it to other users.

The illegal activities of the women were halted in April 2025. Currently, one administrator has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with a probation period of 2 years. The indictment against the other has been sent to court.

In Zhytomyr, subversive activities of a native of Donetsk, who currently lives with his family in the regional center, were documented. In July 2024, the man made public statements denying the fact of Russian aggression, presenting it as an internal civil conflict, and also denied the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territory. He voiced such claims during a conversation with patrol officers who arrived at the call.

As a result of the court proceedings involving prosecutors, taking into account the plea agreement approved by the court, the man was sentenced to 3 years of probation supervision.

The actions of the individuals in all the exposed facts have been qualified according to the committed crimes as encroachments on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period, unauthorized departure from the place of service, justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as glorification of its participants (Part 1 of Article 110, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 5 of Article 407, Parts 1, 2, 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Poltava regional prosecutor's offices, and the Ternopil specialized prosecutor's office in the defense sector of the Western region, the pre-trial investigation is being conducted by regional units of the Security Service of Ukraine.
