Officials of one of the enterprises on the supply to the Russian Federation of polymer products are exposed

In Ukraine, there is a moratorium on groundless inspections aimed at stimulating economic growth and protecting entrepreneurs, while there are exceptions for high-risk areas and cases that pose a threat to the state or citizens.
The Prosecutor General’s Office, together with the SSU, exposed the owner and commercial director of one of the Ukrainian enterprises located in Kyiv for supplying products to the Russian Federation, which are used by them to meet the needs of state-owned companies and the military sector of the aggressor country in packaging materials.
They are charged with aiding and abetting intentional actions aimed at assisting the aggressor state with the aim of causing harm to Ukraine by voluntarily collecting, preparing, and transferring material resources to representatives of the aggressor state, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (part 2 of Art. 28 part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It has been established that the suspects, after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine, organized an illegal mechanism for supplying equipment for the production of packaging materials from paper and cardboard, manufactured at Ukrainian enterprises controlled by them, to Russian companies and state-owned enterprises of the critical infrastructure of the aggressor country.
The specified deliveries went through third countries. Currently, more than 10 cases of export of matrices for imprints (figured profiles made of polymer materials), which ensure the formation of packaging materials and other products, to the address of a controlled foreign company have been established.
The total value of the deliveries is at least EUR 100,000.
The specified products were later transferred in the same quantity and nomenclature to a Russian company, which, according to the investigation, was a permanent counterparty of the Ukrainian company under direct contracts from 2017 to 2022.
Thus, by using a foreign enterprise, the suspects concealed the actual final recipient of the goods.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches at the suspects' places of work and residence, seizing documents, computer equipment, and other physical evidence.
Currently, the issue of selecting preventive measures for the suspects is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the SSU with the operational support of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SSU.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
